Lions Food & Wine Festival
The annual Food and Wine Project has a strong Fund Raising nature while hosting a very enjoyable and memorable expo on behalf of a couple of Wine Cellars, for the community.
It is specifically hosted during the December holiday to reach as many people as possible in Stilbaai. The Lions take orders on behalf of the Cellars and a percentage of the sale goes back to the Lions. This money in turn is used to sponsor Projects like Klein Begin Kleuterskool, the Ambulance Service and Melkhoutfontein.
Melkhoutfontein Network Project
Lions Club Stilbaai is currently helping Ouma Lena’s Huis to raise funds for the Melkhoutfontein Network Project. This is a strategic plan to help with the upliftment of this community.
An initial amount of R50,000 is required to install a WiFi Cloud over Melkhoutfontein to allow them to view motivational material to change their future.
Lions Club Stilbaai helped Carewell to raise funds for the Stilbaai Ambulance Service. This project was interrupted by COVID-19 but will commence shortly.
What We Do
One Community at a Time
Across the globe, Lions are rolling up their sleeves and taking action. With over 1.4 million members, we’re the largest service organization in the world. And we’re as dedicated to helping those in need today as we were over 100 years ago when we first began.
Lions Clubs International (LCI) is an international non-political service organization established originally in 1917 in Chicago, Illinois, by Melvin Jones. It is now headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois.
